Can anyone please tell me where I search to find the owner or buyer of a house.
I have family member living in house as a lodger is 1861, with a relative as the head.  In the 1871 census she is still living there only her son is now the head of the family  and there is no sign of the original head as in the 1861 census.

I live in Australia, so am unable of course to travel to the area in Chelsa to trace records.
so if anyone knows who to contact or where to enquire, I would appreciate the assistance.

Hi all,
Can anyone help with this little problem I have 
Trying to find the birth and parents of Charles Watmore, born in Shoe Lane Holborn, abt 1815.
I have him in marriage banns to Lydia Bloomfield 1836, unfortunately no parents listed and in every census until his death in 1875.
But it appears he was beamed down by spaceship as I cannot find him or his parents on anything, or in anything I have looked in.
I would appreciate any help...even if someone can point me in the right direction or knows where the space ship is

Hi All
 I am hoping someone can help with me with a problem I have in regards to a census entry.

I am trying to trace my 2x g grandfather and gmother in all census but I have become a little confused.

William Pinnegar b. 1827 Calne, and Mary Fox b.1833 Waddington,were married on 31 May 1852 in Bracebridge Lincoln.
I know this to be a fact as I have a copy of their marriage certificate.

 ???Now here lies the problem, according to the 1851 Census taken in Lincoln  Piece 2105/Folio 110/ Page 17 , William is listed as a lodger, unmarried  living in the Burrington Household. He is a stone cutter which all fits in with his becoming a stone mason , and this William was  born in Calne, I am just about 100% convinced that this is my William although the age is incorrect and on the census it is not easy to read.
Also on this census is Mary Fox,  18yrs old unmarried born in Waddington as mine is.  But and yes unfortunately there is a but, she is listed as a daughter in law of John Burrington.

Again there is also a John Fox aged 19 listed as unmarried and he is listed as a son in law of John Burrington.

I am very confused and would appreciate any help or suggestions in regards to this entry.
On their marriage certificate Mary's father is called Frederick and he is a labourer, it is also stated that William was living in the county of Buckingham.

In recent research I discovered that my 3x Great Grandparents James Bow(e)ring and Anne Jane Shorto had two daughters called Jane.
Up until a few days ago I thought they had only one, and that she was called Jane Shorto Bow(e)ring.   According to Family search IGI she was christened on 12th Sep 1819 in Sydling St Mary's.

Whilst searching for loose ends I came across another entry this time for Jane Bowering daugher of James and Anne.  This Jane was christened on 21 August 1825 again at Sydling St Mary's.

It also seems that maybe she was one of a twin as her sister Charlotte was christened on the same day as she was.

Now this is where the confusing part comes in.  I have a copy of a page from the parish records that has Jane Bowring's burial listed on it. The date is 1826 and  I think Jan 1st.  She was listed as an infant.
I realise that quite often they gave their children the named of a deceased child, does that mean that the Jane born in 1819 was also deceased as I can find no record of her death at all. 

 :-\Or is this the death of the first Jane who would of been around 6 years old.  Did they class that age also as an infant.

I would appreciate any help at all with this problem.
