I am trying to locate the source and reference number of the document of the George Rooke (1702-1739) & Frances Ward (1700-1770) Marriage Allegation.

See the attached cutting i have.

I'm really not sure who holds this document?

Thanks

Attached is his Will available from the N.A. U.K.

I am trying to decipher the Will to check on family matters.

Where Sir George Rooke lived with his 2nd wife, Mary (nee Luttrell) 1681–July 1702?
They married Jan. 1701.

What happened to his only son George (his mother passing away at birth) and who looked after him, as his father passed away when he was only 6 1/2 years old?

Sir George Rooke married a Catherine (nee Knatchbull) ? – 1755, 3rd wife.
I believe they married Jan. 1706.

With thanks

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Will of George Rooke (1702-1739)

This is to do with the Will & Last Testament of George Rooke (July 1702 - Nov. 1739) and a couple of other documents.

George was the only son to Sir George Rooke, Admiral of the Fleet.

George married The Hon. Frances Ward, Oct. 1723.

This new thread comes from the original thread https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=848450.0

I downloaded free, the Last Will and Testament of George Rooke from the National Archives, and of course i was hoping to find a hint of any illness he might have had, having passed away so young.
http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D605023 but the text is difficult to read.
File is too large to attach.

There are other legal documents in connection to George Rooke, but i have no idea what they are about, hoping someone can shred some light for me.

The Common Room / The son of Sir George Rooke - George Rooke (1702-1739)

Looking for advise and help in trying to find information/facts about the son of Sir George Rooke (1650-1709).
Sir George Rooke (1650-1709), was Admiral of the Fleet.

What I am looking for is information of the son George Rooke (1702-1739).

The only thing i have found (very surprising for a son of an Admiral of the Fleet) is a small mention in 'Memoirs of Laetitia Pilkington, Vol.II, 1749'

Quote from page 129 -
'....for the very first news i heard next morning, as, that Mr Rooke, a little while after he rose, fell down in an Apoplectic Fit, and instantly expired.'

An apoplectic fit, also known as apoplexy, refers to a sudden neurological impairment often resulting from a brain haemorrhage or stroke.

Might there be a way of sourcing an actual document or text that specifies the cause of death?

Some advice please from the Roots Chat experts.
I have come across some documents dating back to the early 1700's.
I'm hoping there might be some kind of information available of the persons or Printers, named in the attached document.

The Common Room / Sir George Rooke (1650-1709)

I'm researching family of the Admiral Sir George Rooke and i hope someone here can help me.

Sir George Rooke (1650-1709), from his 2nd wife Mary (nee Luttrell - 1681-1702) had a son George.

George Rooke (1702-1739), i believe married a Frances Ward(e) in 1733, but i can't find any proof.

I'm trying to establish who this Frances Ward(e) was, when and where she was born, who her parents were.

Is she the same Frances Ward(e) as below?
I have been trying to match up the names and people without much luck.

As George Rooke passed away age 37, did his wife Frances Ward(e) remarry & to who?

From 'The History and Topographical Survey of the County of Kent: Vol. X11" by Edward Hasted (1801)' it gives this, but it doesn't tally up: -

'..... Sir George Rooke, vice-admiral of England, who succeeded to this seat, and resided here, as did his son George Rooke, esq., who died in 1739, without issue, and devised this estate, with the tithery of St. Laurence, to his widow, Frances, daughter of William Warde, esq., who was afterwards in 1673, created viscount Dudley and Warde; on her death in 1770, she devised the whole of it, with her estates at Stonar and eslewhere in this county, to her brother the Hon. John Warde, who in 1774 succeeded his father as Viscount Dudley and Warde.'

With thanks

Henry was born in St.Pancras, approx. 1873.

I'm hoping to find more information about him and his parents.

With the end of the trail of who i thought was a Violet Mary Hamblin (nee Turner), my grandmother,  ended up being a Violet Mabel Ellen Turner.

The search now begins for her ancestors with your help.

Her mother Beatrice Lilian Turner, born in Luton (1872~).
Father unknown.
