Kent / Proof photograph taken in Chatham
« on: Thursday 26 June 08 12:11 BST (UK)  »
hi,

I found this photo in a mix of kiloware stamps.

The reverse indicates that it was taken at Leonard Hill, 40 Ewart Road, Chatham, Kent but it is undated.

If anybody can identify the people in the photo I am more than happy to send to them.

Regards

John

Hi,

Prescot BICC published a magazine called 'The Link'.

Does anybody have access to copies of this magazine published between 1914 and 1919 ?

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1861 Census Look Up Please
« on: Sunday 30 April 06 19:48 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

I am trying to locate John Valentine on the 1861 Census, probably married and living in the London area.

In 1871 he was living at 4 Calverly Street in the parish of St Benets. The details there suggest he was born in Germany c 1826 and that he is a tailor by profession.

Thanks

John

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1871 Look Up please
« on: Friday 05 November 04 15:11 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

Today I found that my 2 X great grandfather  listed on the 1871 census in the Civil Parish of Mile End Old Town.

His name is John Valentine aged 45 born in Germany living with his son John Valentine aged 9 born in Middlesex.

I have located them in the 1881 Census living at 3 Zion Square which indicates that the younger John Valentine was born in Kings Cross.

Could any kind soul please find these two on the 1871 Census and let me know what details are recorded in the enumerators books  ?

Regards

John
