« on: Saturday 08 March 14 03:09 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all,

I am research the Family of Benjamin Greenaway/Grinaway/Grenaway and Hannah Hammond. They married in 1788 Donnington, Sussex. Benjamin was born about 1762 in Sussex, I believe and died in 1848, Oving, Sussex. Anyone with any ideas on the location of the baptism/birth of Benjamin and who his parents were? Any ideas would be great.

Devon / William Hutchings b. 1787 Northam, Devon
« on: Monday 28 October 13 21:32 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there. I am looking for a Philip Hutchings, who had a brother William Hutchings. Philip was born 1809-1815 in Northam, Devon while William was born in 1815 in Portsea, Hampshire. The parents to the best of my knowledge were William Hutchings and Ann. I am trying to determine William Hutchings' ancestry if the above is correct. It appears the family lived in the Northam area for a while.

Thank you

Hi there. I am seeking assistance on locating a Thomas Powell born about 1820 +/- 5 years in or around Kingsland, Herefordshire. He may only have married there. He married a Mary, no children, was a butcher and imperfect tailor and was convicted of stealing 6 sheep in Radnorshire on 2 January 1843 at the Herefordshire Quarter sessions before he was transported in 1844 to Tasmania for 10 years.

No idea of his parents at all. If anyone could possibly suggest likely candidates, that would be great. I am continuing to look through the 1841 census but unsure if he was in Herefordshire or Radnorshire at the time.

Thank you.

Hi there. Can anyone assist in looking up any parish records of Llanberis for William Owen (b. 1829) Llanberis who married Jane (b. 1835) surname may be Williams, but uncertain. I do have Owen William Owen, b. 1858 Llanberis, whose parents were the above William and Jane. The patronymic system is very difficult to work out parents from children at times.

Any help would be great. :)

Hi all. Looking for any death/burial or marriage records for the following people:  James McCallum, b. 1811 in Rothesay - was around in Buteshire up to 1861 then disappeared.
Hugh McCallum, b. 1813 in Rothesay, no record any where in Scotland.
John McCallum, b. 1824 Kingarth, located in 1841 and maybe in 1851 in Buteshire as a servant but then nothing.
Isobel McCallum, b. 1821,Kingarth, located in 1841 and 1851 in Buteshire but then disappeared.
Archibald McCallum, b. 1827 Kingarth, located in 1841 in Buteshire and 1851 in Ayrshire then nothing.
Lastly, Elizabeth McCallum, b. 1834 Kingarth, located only in 1841 and nothing in 1851 onwards.

I thought that either these people died early or had moved overseas. Any assistance is gratefully appreciated.

Argyllshire / McCallum Families of Inverary/Glenarary/Lochgoilhead
« on: Tuesday 05 June 12 23:21 BST (UK)  »
Hi all. Looking for any possible children of Dugald McCallum and Margaret Bell. They had one son at least, Hugh in 1757 in Lochgoilhead. It may be possible that Margaret Bell died and Dugald remarried back in Inverary to Mary Molloy (var, sp). Any thoughts?

Second query is liklihood that Dugald McCallum's parents were Donald McCallum and Grisell Munro?

Thanks in advance.

Cumberland Lookup Requests / George Freeman b. Whitehaven, Cumberland
« on: Monday 25 April 11 10:55 BST (UK)  »
Hi there. Looking for any records at all for a birth/baptism of a George Freeman or similar between 1820-1832 in Whitehaven, Cumb. According to 1871 and 1881 Census he was born there but no luck at all identifying him. His father was George Freeman as well and was a Tailor or Clothier. Unsure if he was from the area or not. I'm getting a suspicion that he wasn't born in Whitehaven but may have travelled through there.

Any suggestions are welcomed.
