The original photo' is in a sad state, some of the names being difficult to read but will do my best:
Norman Lemm (Wolverhampton)
Albert Hislam (Leeds)
Len Sheasby (Birmingham 21)
Bob Knowles (St. Helens)
Dick Lockwood & other (London)
Eddie Hunt.
Chadwick (Bolton)
Roy Ellen
It would be great if someone could add any information....I don't have any army record details. Many thanks.

World War Two / Did this POW make it home?
« on: Wednesday 14 May 14 20:29 BST (UK)  »
A cousin found a small religious book belonging to my late uncle, inside the cover are written the words P.G 73 Carpi Italy 2.11.42. A.S Hullah SGF.
I've been told my uncle was a POW and two elderly family members remember seeing him looking very emaciated.
My question is: if he made it home, would it be at all likely he would have been sent back to fight after recuperation?
I've found a memorial Swartbroek Churchyard, Netherlands on the CWGC site for a soldier of the same name d.26.11.1944 stating the husband of .. and my aunt's Christian name. I don't have his service number, to verify if it's him.

« on: Friday 17 January 14 15:49 GMT (UK)  »
Mary Lindsay Beaton Fleming Walker (spinster) aged 82yrs was a passenger on the P&O ship Himalaya, sailing from London to Sydney, 5th Sept 1951. Her address at this time 70, Stock St. Paisley, Glasgow.
Most of her siblings had emigrated to Canada. As far as I know she had no relatives in Australia, or did she?
If anyone can help with any information at all, I'd be very much obliged.

Europe / Help reading Danish Parish Reg. please.
« on: Thursday 13 September 12 19:22 BST (UK)  »
OH has Danish ancestors Ellen Elisabeth Schou/Skov married to Arent Boss. She is often referred to as Hansdatter, therefore I assumed her father would be Hans Schou or Skov.
I think I've found the Ronne Bornholm parish reg for their marriage. Can someone please help to decipher the names....I can't see Hans amongst them.

Lancashire / William Henry Boase L'Pool, where did you go?
« on: Sunday 10 July 11 16:28 BST (UK)  »
I've scoured Ancestry for William Henry Boase b1831 Cornwall occ. printer compositor...he was married to Rebecca Watts, they moved to Liverpool. I do have them up until 1871. Rebecca is living with her daughter Thomasina Carter in 1881, no sign of her hubby William. Rebecca died 1882.
There is a marriage 1886 L'Pool, Henry Boase widower to Emma Beavan, everything fits occ and fathers name, I am sure this is him but where on earth he is after this date just defeats me  ??? .....any ideas would be gratefully welcomed, thanks.
