Hi
I have a new match on MyHeritage with the largest segment of 62.1cM.  I have worked out the link that fits with an in-common-with match, which I have also found the link for.  However, this new link does not have a chromosome browser in the details of the match and doesn't show as an option to include in a one-to-many on the chromosome match tool.
Has anyone else come across this before?  I'm wondering if the match has opted out of something.  I would really like to know which segments this match matches me on.

Europe / Births - Serbia

Hi
Does anyone know if I'm likely to find a birth in 19th-century Serbia/Yugoslavia online?  I'm thinking that the answer is no, but hoping there may be a small chance.

Sussex Completed Lookup Requests / Where was burial in Hurstpierpoint
« on: Friday 28 October 22 22:47 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I am hoping someone can help.
In the burial register for Hurstpierpoint in 1975, some burials are noted as (Cemetery), but the one I am interested in has a different note which I can't read some letters of it looks like Woo....LE
Does anyone have any idea where this might be?  His abode was Wickham Hill.

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Help with matching segments
« on: Saturday 10 July 21 10:58 BST (UK)  »
Hi
Can someone help me please?  If a known relative of my father and a known relative of my mother both match me on the same segment does that mean that there is a link between the two lines of my tree?  I'm wondering if it might be that they match with the two strands of my DNA where one strand is from my father and one from my mother.  I have a few instances of this on the spreadsheet where I compare matches from FtDNA, MyHeritage and Gedmatch.  Here is the strongest example
M S      1   20,080,310   35,081,247
G A T   1   20,431,299   31,088,765

Kent / Roads missing from 1939 Register
« on: Monday 22 February 21 23:55 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I am trying to find a family who were in Mayfield Road, Belverdere, on the 1939 register.  Using address search on FindMyPast it appears that the road, and two parallel roads, are not present.  Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Armed Forces / Has anyone requested a service record since Covid19 arrived?
« on: Friday 12 February 21 18:00 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
Has anyone on here applied for a service record in the last year?  I sent off for my mother's army service record (WWII) in June 2020, I expected a long delay.  The cheque I enclosed will now be out of date and I had no acknowledgement.
I could send again but don't want two applications to be processed.  I'm wondering if they will get in touch at some point and ask me to send a new cheque or if it was lost in the post and never arrived.
Can anyone tell me whether that department has been working in the last year?

Armed Forces / What does RFKOW stand for?
« on: Sunday 28 June 20 15:52 BST (UK)  »
Hi, can anyone help, please?  My father's service record (Royal Artillery) shows that in 1942 he was drafted to RFKOW.  His next move was to join the Royal West African Frontier Force in Africa.  I am being able to find out what most of the abbreviations mean with help from Google but RFKOW has me stumped.

HI
Is the UCL Surname Profiler still available online?  I have had a number of web addresses for it but none of them are working now.

Lancashire / Is there a place/street in Oldham called Newcastle?
« on: Thursday 26 March 20 20:51 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I have found a baptism in Oldham 1842 that says abode Newcastle.  I've tried a Google search for Newcastle Oldham but all I'm finding is about football matches.
I'm guessing there is somewhere that I haven't found.
Thank you for any help you can give
Mary
