Richard and Ann Gregson are my great great grandparents,and in 1851 they would probably be living at Sollom lock.There was a row of cottages long since demolished,they lived in one of them.They where definitely living there in 1861.In 1871 it was School St. Farington,and in 1881 it was Chadwick Terrace Leyland.He died there May 13th 1892,she died Dec31st 1896.They are burried at St.Andrews Leyland.There daughter Sarah(1866-1934) was my great grandmother.
They married December31st 1848 at Trinity Church North Meols,her father Thomas Miller was a labourer.Richard signed his name,Ann signed with an X.
Sorry to bore you,I have been searching the family for some time,I even have a photo of the whole
family taken about 1874.------G.
