As some people understandably dislike the Daily Mail's site, with all its adverts, pop-up videos and links to unconnected stories, I thought I'd post a link to the museum's own site.
However, on going there I see that they've been overwhelmed with offers and aren't accepting any more, though they do invite you to sign up for a newsletter so you can hear about other similar opportunities:

Sounds a good idea - and of course it might sort itself out in the meantime.
As it happens, the same thing has happened to me today at a different FH forum. Normally it goes through as https, but every so often it doesn't and I get the warning. Usually then the http version loads if I ask for it, but today it didn't. I wonder if it could all be some kind of server overload and the backup ones don't support https?

« on: Monday 22 April 24 11:36 BST (UK) »I've just checked that via my Family History folder and it comes up correctly. I wonder if it is something to do with when you wish to unsubscribe from a website? That was what I was doing with the Durham Records website.
I've had that before. If I wished to unsubscribe from a newsletter/information email it comes up with with the connection unsecure....
I can't think why that should be the case. I don't want to unsubscribe from the DRO newsletter, but I tried the link in it for amending preferences, which goes to the same domain, and that opened in https for me. Rather slowly, but it got there eventually.

Firefox, which I use, has a help page that explains the reasons behind what you're seeing, and what settings you can adjust:

I can't help with anything to do with the floods, but on personal messages, you need to make a few normal posts before they're unlocked for you. At the time of writing this Leah, as a new member, has only made one, which probably explains the 'mailbox full' message.
The solution to this is either to continue to discuss on the public forum, or for Leah to make a few more posts in order to unlock them. Short posts in this thread, such as "Thanks" or "I'll get back to you on this", should be enough (as I understand it).

When I've come across an entry like that it's usually been possible to identify them as someone wealthy and/or important locally.

Bear in mind that the two ceremonies were not equivalent.
The first one, in 1923, would have been a full legal marriage under English law.
However, Roman Catholics might have considered that it wasn't valid under their church law, so another ceremony was required. The 1925 ceremony might have been like a marriage, but as far as the law of the land is concerned, it would have had no effect (hence no second registration).
