Fantastic info.
Thank you so much.

Is there a way we can send messages so we can access eachother's trees?

I too have heard of Owls Nest Farm.  My granny was Ella Wyndham Champion (19.4-1991).  I think my mum has a photo of Owls Nest Farm.

Hi, do you have the photo at all?

That site is really interesting, I had a look earlier, and found some family photos. Thank you

Do you know the name of his father, who married Elizabeth. She was living with her daughter Ann in 1851 and is blind.
I am doing the tree for a daughter of Mary Grace Champion born Brighton 1928. She married a Arthur Oldfield and had 6 children. You are gt. cousins. Any info will help.

Hi,
His father was James Champion, born circa 1780 in Berkley Gloucestershire

Hope this helps. My full tree is on Genes Reunited if that helps

Best wishes

Carrie

I am interested in The Champion Family of Shellards Lane. George Champion born 1815 I think his mother was Elizabeth Champion born 1771. Did they live at Owl Barn Farm?

Hi there

I am descended from George Champion's brother, James (born c. 1799)
I do not really have much information on this part of the family.

I found out that they lived in Shellards Lane from the census returns, although as far as I remember, a house number was not given. The entry was just underneath Owl's Nest Farm, in 1881.

Best wishes

Hi

What a great thread.

My ancestors, the Champions, lived in Shellards Lane, and are listed underneath Owls Nest Farm in 1881.
I wondered if anybody had any info at all on them.

Best wishes

Hi all,

I hope I have posted this in the right place.

I am looking to try and see if my gt grandad Arthur Thomas Champion was listed in the 1940-1943 Falmouth street directories.

He died in June 1943 in Falmouth, but was originally from Liverpool.

His address on his death certificate was 4 Trevaylor Road, Falmouth.

I have a feeling the house will be in his lady friend's name.

Kind regards,

Carrie

I have found this topic fascinating.

I have been taking photos of old dairies/cowkeepers premises in Liverpool for the past few months.
My photos are here: member has made photographs private

Please feel free to let me know if there are any other dairies you remember and I will add to my list.
