Many thanks for your help, much appreciated. I had a hunch about Scargill st as it kept cropping up, and I also visited the area for the first time last May. David .

Hi I seem to have come to a dead stop with tracing my Great grandfather JOSEPH BROWN born c 1876 Eastwood Greasley Notts, he married MARY ALICE PATRICK. They lived in Upper Langley in the 1911 census his occupation was a miner. I cant find the exact birth certificate as it is a very common name in that area. Any help with any BROWNS from that area would be helpful as I do not know date of death. Many thanks.
