Checking the electrol for the address wilcoxon gave, Isaac, Sarah & daughter Pauline are there from 1929 - 1932. Only Sarah & Pauline in 1933 not after.

1939 register, the family still in Cardiff area. Pauline is with the Hughes family of married sister Henrietta so possibly they moved there after Isaac died. No Sarah with family, I think it unlikely she moved elsewhere.

Only death in Cardiff registration between 1933 - 1939 is the one given in reply # 7 so may very likely be her.

Keep us updated if you obtain cert.

That is the correct family.

I would think it would be the Cardiff reg district having traced family, they were there from at least 1921 until 1933 when Isaac died.

Took out possible DOB on freebmd as she was a bit varied with her age, also likely not on 1939

Another possible

Best looking option so far.... I think I may order this cert. - and the will
Many thanks to Cas and Wilcoxon

Maybe not the 1932 death either. I now recall why I think Sarah outlived Isaac - due to the wording of his death notice in July 1933.

Another possible which would fit with age. Electrol my help rule in/out?

GRIFFITHS, SARAH  ANN  age   74

That one looks promising.
I think the 1944 death can be eliminated - I located her in the 1939 register, and she is not with correct family.

There is this possible if in same area Llandaff

GRIFFITHS, SARAH  ANN age     83

I believe she outlived her husband, but I can't be 100% certain.
That Sarah Ann should be in the 1939 register then....
I had a feeling she may have died before that.

Sarah Walsh was baptized in the Kilrane (Tagoat) area of Co. Wexford on 21-Feb-1858.
At some point, she acquired a second Christian name, to become Sarah Ann.
She married Isaac John Griffiths in Pontypool, Wales, in 1890.
Isaac went on to win the DCM in the Boer War.

Sarah and Isaac had six children together, from 1892 to 1903, in locations as varied as Aldershot, London, Egypt, and Wales.

in 1911 they were living in Pontypridd.

Isaac died 3 July, 1933, in Landaff, and was buried there.

I believe Sarah died later in the 1930s, but there are many deaths with the name Sarah Griffiths in the area. Is there any way to determine which one is the correct death, short of ordering all the death registrations, which is simply too expensive?
