1818 and 18 months to get there with the help of lots of very kind people! This is only my paternal line. Searching in Ireland is a lot more difficult than in Scotland!

Down / Enough info to order Birth Certificate?
« on: Monday 15 August 05 15:13 BST (UK)  »
One of my gggrandparents children was born in Ireland c1862, I know his parents names, where they married and where they were living at the time of marriage. I know it would be in the parish of Loughinisland but is this enough information to request his birth certificate.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Marie,
My Jane Hagen was born 1838 married in Clough non subscribing Presbyterian Church in 1856. They were both 18 years old and both living in Drumcaw at the time of marriage. Drumcaw and Clough are in the Parish of Loughinisland. All I know of Jane's parents are their names James and Jane (m.s. Melvin) and that James Hagen was a farmer living in Drumcaw.

Hope this is of some help.
Best wishes
Janice
