George Woolley married Martha Deakin in 1822. Both born around 1801
I have them on census with daughter Sarah Woolley who married Thomas Palmer.
I'm not 100% certain that Martha was Sarah's mother.
George & Martha Woolley ran a hotel.
Sarah had brothers John & William and a sister Frances
They lived Loughborough.
I'm trying to find a connection to Harry Woolley (nothing known)

Hello
I have George Woolley who married Martha Deakin  I believe Their daughter Sarah Woolley  born Mountsorrel married Thomas Palmer and had a daughter Sarah Elizabeth who married Isaac Ward and Rose who married George Thomas Liddemore in 1884

I believe there is a connection to Harry Woolley (possibly the one who died in 1896 in Cheshire.
I say this because Rose & G.T Liddemore had a son Harry Wooley Liddemore and their daughter Eliza who married John (Jack) Bottomley had a son Harry Woolley Bottomley.
Harry Liddemore died in WW1 and I always felt that Harry Bottomley was named after his deceased uncle but now I think that possibly Martha Deakin wasn't George Woolley's first wife and maybe not Sarah Woolley mother.
This is only based on naming patterns as there are no Martha's in the family .
Could Harry be a brother to Sarah ???

David and Diddy - Thank you very much - All and any information is fascinating.
I would love to know all I can about this family.

Also the elusive Thomas Palmer who married Sarah Woolley - Sarah moves to Yorkshire along with her daughter Sarah Palmer who marries ...?? (will need to check this ... can't remember who) and another daughter Rose Palmer who marries George Thomas Liddemore - Sarah snr  shows as being a widow but family rumour has it that Thomas was alive and also living around Leeds -

Diddy - please check marriages for me - I really appreciate

Julie

Hello from Australia.

I am trying to find out more about my g g grandmother Sarah Woolley who married Thomas Palmer. Sarah was born about 1826 at Mount Sorrel and married Thomas Palmer in 1850. Thomas was born 1821 Ellchester Somerset (I think)
Sarah's parents were George Woolley born 1801 Appleberry Mountsorrel and Martha born 1801 Loughborough Mountsorrel. As far as I know Sarah had brothers John born 1826  William born 1827 and sister Frances born 1821.

I know absolutely nothing else about this family - except that Martha Woolley possibly lived at 28 Nottingham Rd Loughborough in 1881

Any help would be gratefully accepted

Thank you

Julie

Ellen Collins was probably Irish - she was transported to Australia about 1832 where she married Henry Wyatt who was transported 1831.
I know nothing else about them -except they married in Sydney Australia in 1832.
Thank you for moving THE POST.
I am new to this .

Hello
I am researching Henry Wyatt who married Ellen Collins and their daughter Ellem Margaret Wyatt who married William Bates.
Would like to know if William and Ellen (Margaret) Bates had a son John James Bates about 1858.
Contact me via Genforum perhaps - under Bates or Wyatt.
Thank you
Julie
