Thanks again Yokel yes now I can see how the date follows on, certainly helps the research with the correct date especially when the family moves from one village to the next.

Hi Yokel, thankyou for your post-  Have to say this register is hard to follow as it does not show the year on the page. Have to say I was not able to even find Samuel Field when I looked so pleased with the page link. Could you guide me to where the 1770 date is shown.

Thankyou, for the great response to my request, yes maybe Suffolk would be better, my reason for going for Norfolk being that the family lived on the border and the children of my connection ( Benjamin Field, Patternmaker)  did end up in Norfolk. Thanks Trish, yes he died in 1851 at St Clement Infirmary, Norwich.

There is possibilty that Benjamin Field was born around 1783 in Halesworth to parents Samuel Field and Susannah Fisher, this couple were supposed to have been  married on June 3rd  1774 Redenhall.  After I checked the Redenhall church register recently I was not able to find their marriage, I also struggled to find a Samuel Field who must have been born around 1750/60s in the  erea  of Halesworth, this also applied to Susannah Fisher?

Have to say this period of time around the 1700s is a real struggle, as you stated names often follow Father to son. For Samuel to name his son Benjamin seems strange, unless there is a grand parent named Benjamin?

Again thankyou all for your help and Trish the Benjamin family information is all correct is this one of you family connections!

It is possible that Samuel was the father to Benjamin Field Born c1780s. Benjamin married Elizabeth Jane Fiske in Rumburgh, Suffolk.
