Essex / Re: My Essex Surname Interests
« on: Saturday 11 May 13 15:49 BST (UK)  »
Hi David

The Wallis family have eluded me somewhat.

My Emma b1853 Great Hollingbury Essex died 1897 Marylebone London, married Robert W Trott. Her father was Edward Wallis 1816-1867 who married Ann Bishop b1823 Albury Herts died 1889 Broxted.

I have a copy of the marriage certificate between Edward Wallis and Ann Bishop which occurred in 1843 Albury. That shows Edward's father as James Wallis a labourer.

I don't know anything else about the Wallis family.

I see you have the Bishops of Hertfordshire as one of your name interests. I have them going back to 1730 if that's of any interest to you.

Kind regards
Carol

Hi Bob

Thank you very much for getting in touch.

I have the Trott's going back to Henham in the 1600's so the extra information would be great, I will indeed visit your website.

Yes the Sanderson connection is interesting isn't it? I think my Sanderson's probably originated up that way. My g g grandparents Henry (Charles) Sanderson and Emma Leebridge were married in Middlesborough in 1875. I don't know why they married there though as both were born in Twickenham, and they returned to live in Twickenham afterwards. That's a bit of a mystery but there must be a connection I think.

Thank you again for the information Bob.   :)

Best wishes
Carol

Hi

Thank you very much, any information on the families would be very much appreciated.

I am in Devon so am not local to the record office in Leicester. This is my husband's family, he and his mother are really interested in their ancestors so I am trying to help them.

Thank you once again.

Best wishes

Leicestershire Lookup Requests / Help needed please Parish Records for Loughborough
« on: Tuesday 23 November 10 09:45 GMT (UK)  »
Hello

I wonder if someone could please help me with parish records for Loughborough.

I am looking for the parents of John Dakin b1835 Loughborough, he was a boatman later in life. I do have his marriage certificate which states John Dakin as his father but I know this is not always correct.

Also, if it's not too cheeky of me to ask for help with two families, I am also looking for the birth of Thomas Fisher b1813 Loughborough.

I would be very grateful if anyone could help with the above.

Many thanks

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Help Please Burial in Perivale Middlesex

In March 1964 my sister Julie Rosemary Sanderson was born prematurely in Perivale Maternity Hospital Stockdove Way Greenford UB6 8EL and did not survive.

My mother who was in quite a state at the time asked the hospital to bury her. My parents were not told at the time where she would be buried, and I am now trying to locate her grave.

I have tried Greenford Park Cemetery but they say they have no record of a burial for her.

I would be grateful if anyone could give me any ideas as to what I could try next to find her, although we now live hundreds of miles away in Cornwall, it would be very nice for my Mum to know where she is.

Many thanks in advance.
