Tonight I ordered the death certificate of John Andrews who died in July of 1839 at Weyhill he was a Major in the north Hampshire Militia, this info came from the newspaper.  I will let you know what is on it when it arrives.

Have you received my PM's ?.  I now  know that Martha Andrews died 17 Feb 1879 and she was living with Sarah the daughter of Charlotte Maria.  Shara Barrow had married a William Golding in 1844.  I also know that a Mr H Andrews second son of Major Andrews married a Miss Weston in 1814 at Bath as it was in the newspaper.  Augusta Andrews belongs to my husbands mother's side of the family and on her death certificate it states that her father was Major John Andrews and mother Jane.

Hi, I am in Australia and our line is through Caroline Andrew's sister Augusta who married John Butt at Houghton Hampshire.  They came to Australia in 1856.

Hi, I know of two more daughters Augusta born 1806 and Martha Matilda born 1804, they were born at Cole Henly near Whichurch Hampshire their father was a made a Major in the North Hants Militia in 1800. Mother Jane died at Houghton Hamp Jan 1823, and there is a report in the papers that Major John Andrews died at Weyhill in 1839, I think that this is him.

I am interested in the Andrews family, what info do you have on Caroline Georgina Andrews family ?  I know that her parents were Major John Andrews (of the North Hants Militia) and mother Jane I found Jane's death at Houghton in 1823 and I beleive that John died in 1839 at Weyhill.  My husband's line goes back to Augusta Andrews who was a sister to your Caroline as when Caroline married it was in the newspaper and she was the daughter of Major John Andrews.
