Have just found your entries. Henry James Ayliffe was my Gt. Grandfather and although he states he was a mariner I've never been able to find anything to prove this. When my Grandmother, Rosina Florence Emily was born the birth certificate shows him as a ironrod maker. A few months later on the 1881 census he was a barman. I have a great deal of information on Henry's Mother Harriett Ayliffe.
