Yes the names should be removed.
There is a later marriage for one of the spouses so this may all be too intrusive.

I thought we haven’t yet found the right one.

Is that right? . Aghadowey ‘s information doesn’t match your Peter H Reilly though.

The Thomas on the farm in 1851 was b Bowden. So is this chap - but I think you're suggesting he's not the one  you're after

1861 - Droyslden

Thomas Garwood    25    b Bowden, fustian dyer
Mary J Garwood      27    Wife
Samuel Garwood     12 [probably 2]
Robert Garwood        4  [months]

He’s the one who is the son of Thomas, the Blacksmith and his wife Ann, I think. They are in Manchester in 1851.

There are so many of the same names, no wonder you are finding it hard.  :)

Mayo / Re: Bridget CURRAN
« on: Yesterday at 18:22 »
Thank you Octo.
Sadly, not much help.
There are a couple of Bridget Currans in Oldham about the right time but one is married and the other, an older widow.
There is a Michael and Mary Prendergast in Oldham in 1871 but I don’t see them later.

There are quite a few Irish born in 1871/81 around Smethurst Street too.
Not yet found any good records in Mayo either.
What was Daniel’s occupation given as, please?

Thomas Yarwood snr was a Blacksmith so may well have been a brother. His son, Thomas was a Fustian Dyer and looks to have married and settled in Ashton under Lyne.
