Morning  all, after yesterday's deluge of  rain today is beautiful, pity as some only get a few days holiday and  it was spolt by the rain.

Viktoria, how lovely to spend your birthday with your family,  the children will love it, strange you mentioned the fish as yesterday I wondered if they had surfaced yet , I must be a witch!

RTL,  do hope you managed to have a reasonable day yesterday.

Got to collect my new prescription  sun specs, hope I have made a mistake with the frames.

Enjoy your day everyone

No folks, it was the wine bottle that fell, the summer pudding was fine, my visitors ate everything  there was, so that is satisfaction in my book,  from Poole it took them 4.5  hours to get here, they have returned home in less than 3 hours, we have had a wonderful weekend.

I like the look of thatched cottages but realise there is a cost involved in their upkeep but they look nice I must admit.

It has been a beautiful day but it now  looks like rain and feels jolly cold.

I am sure I will  sleep soundly this evening.

Quite a few Including the clergy are off to Malta for a week,  I could have gone but I felt it was to long to leave my husband on his own,  I have to be realistic I think.

Another week starts tomorrow.

Take  care

After such a lousy day yesterday today is beautiful, I am waiting for visitors arriving fairly soon from Poole,  only for 1 night unless I can persuade them to stay longer, if they do I will  have to rush out shopping .

I have done home made minestrone  soup, haven't done that for years,  I seem to have had disaster  after disaster,  my usual coffee and walnut cake has only risen only half the size, then my summer pudding anchored with a plate  and a bottle of wine to anchor it down, during the evening there was a wallop from the  kitchen, I ran out to see my bottle of wine rolling across the kitchen floor, the top wasn't screed up, a very nice beat line but what a mess, but this morning waiting I am quite chilled out, I need to be.

BH   weekend, not a good idea to travel and I think my relatives are stuck on the M25 as there has been some accidents, spoils travelling  but I hope whoever was involved was safe , my soup won't spoil.

Talking  about post a friend of mine  has been waiting  for a parcel for 2 weeks, it has finally been delivered but whoever posted it put old stamp on it, it was in danger of not being posted to the recipient.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

My get well wishes to all those under the weather, lots of strange things going around.

I met a friend yesterday, was quite a nice day, lunch and a chat suits me.

My covid jab is on 11th, stupidly we couldn't get the same time, not sure if they will  be kind to my husband and let him in with me, an hours difference, no shops to mooch around either.

Viktoria, you have  such interesting tales to tell,  they make me laugh.

It looks like a nice day but there is a black cloud looming,  so got everything crossed it stays dry.

I have visitors this weekend, not had anyone to stay for something like 10 years, getting a bit panicky to be honest, what to cook, she is a wonderful cook, I certainly am not but we won't starve.

Take care.

Morning folks,  new week, doesn't time fly.

I have a busy week coming up, got visitors next weekend to stay, not had anyone stay for well over 12 years or so, I feel I am out of the habit, the cousin is a very good cook, I don't feel I am at all,   thinking cap on, they might want to go out so I would have to do something I can leave in the oven,

We do have  the sun out this morning after having  a few wet days, if the washing can go out I am a happy bunny.

Hope everyone who was a little down last week will feel better this coming week, a few days of reasonable weather would be nice to perk us all up.

The glasses I stored after Saturdays bazaar will come out once again then if not sold will be off to the charity shop,  I put things through 3 times and if they haven't gone by then it really isn't worth keeping them.

Off to the new diary now.
