« on: Monday 04 April 22 14:26 BST (UK)  »

Can anyone help me trace a * *  born in  1962.  Her mother's maiden name was *.  She was adopted soon after she was born and her sister then aged 5 has never had any contact.  She would love to know what happened to * and where she is today.
Regards
Mark

Thank you jonw65 & rosie99 for your help.
I am sure this must be the person I am looking for.  His death in Aberdeen explains why I couldn't find him on an Ancestry search.
You mentioned a newspaper article.  Is that available to view; or have a copy?
Thanks again
Mark

I am trying to trace an Alan John Stephenson born 28th September 1947
I can find a birth record.  His mother's maiden name was Pound and Alan was born in Portsmouth.
In 1969 he was a junior engineer on board MV British Tenacity.  )The ship had recently left Gottenburg for the West Coast of Africa)
The only other record I can find for an Alan John Stephenson is on the England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1995 (Winchester Administration)
Here an Alan John Stephenson of 5 Dimond Close, Bitterne Park, Southampton is recorded as dying on 21st November 1975.
It may not be the same person but I know Alan John Stephenson lived in Queens Terrace Southampton around 1960.
Other than this I cannot find a death record which typically might give his birth date as well as his death record. I am looking for suggestions for where to look next.
Many thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,

All the Best

Sarah

Dear Sarah
Thanks for your help.  Do you know if Freda's surname is Lightfoot?

Dear Freda
My father-in-law Robert Dudley Lightfoot is the grandson of Thomas Edwin Ryder Lightfoot.  It was his great grandfather who invented aniline black.  Can you help with my research on the descendants of John and Ann Lightfoot?

Thanks
Mark

Did you know JEL and Sarah Hartley had an adopted daughter Mary Jane Taylor?
