Hello Pauline.
Thank you for your message. It is some time since I have looked at this element of my tree (my husband's branch).

I will look and see if I can add anything to what you have.

Wiltshire / Re: William WILTSHIRE 1798 Seend Wiltshire

Thank you. I will bear that one in mind as well - it is difficult to tie the right one up without knowing what happened to each of them.

We visited Seend last week and it is lovely - but I don't suppose that is the right basis on which to choose the correct ancestors!.

Wiltshire / William WILTSHIRE 1798 Seend Wiltshire
« on: Thursday 21 July 11 22:31 BST (UK)  »
I have a William Wiltshire born abut 1798 in my tree. A later census shows him as born near Devizes, he is living in Birmingham at the time of the census with his wife Charlotte. I have visited the Wiltshire records office some time ago and the most likely William Wiltshire I found was in Seend, Wiltshire baptised 1797 with parents William and Rebecca. Does anyone else have this family in their tree - if they do and they know what happened to that William Wiltshire I can rule him out of my search.
Any clues would be gratefully received.

London and Middlesex / Re: Grimme family - Bethnall Green

Hello Emma

Thank you for your message. This does appear to be the same family - I also have Lakeman and Cornford which suggests the connection is through my Grandparents that were Edward Albert Grimme and Theresa Hyacinth Lakeman, Theresa's mother was a Cornford.

How are you connected to this line?

Montgomeryshire / Re: Elizabeth REES - Llangurig

Thank you for your reply.

I know very little about this family as yet.

Elizabeth moved to London and married there. The only reference I have to her father is in the marriage record from the London parish registers.

I would be interested at some time to view the parish registers for LLangurig to see how this family is made up. I cant even confidently find the right Richard in the census records.

Montgomeryshire / Elizabeth REES - Llangurig
« on: Saturday 14 November 09 15:44 GMT (UK)  »
My gt gt grandmother was Elizabeth Rees born about 1835 in Llangurig Montgomeryshire in North Wales. I only have this detail from later census records. She married William Thomas Cornford in 1862 in Islington London and had her family in London.

Her marriage record shows her father's name as Richard Rees and his occupation as farmer.

Does anyone else have any connections that might extend this information. Or know if Llangurig parish records are available on line or to purchase.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / London Inquests
« on: Thursday 19 March 09 21:01 GMT (UK)  »
Is it possible to obtain details of coroner's inquests in London? I have a death certificate for George William Lakeman who died at The Albion, 211 High Street, Shadwell on 27th April 1912. The death certificate was issued after an inquest on the 30 April 1912.

I would be interested to know if it is possible to obtain details of coroner's inquests. The name of the coroner was Wynne E Baxter - the Coroner for the County of London.

Any advice would be welcome.

Dorset / Re: Hope to Trinity in Weymouth - Jolliffe

In 1841 there is a William Jolliffe born in Barnet London.

If you were only to get limited certificates this birth and the possible marriage of William and Eliza may be a good bet.
