World War Two / Re: What uniform is this?
« on: Thursday 30 May 19 00:52 BST (UK)  »
Thank you all for your opinions and suggestions regarding this man's uniform.  A scan of his cap was not clear so I have not posted it.  The photograph was with others belonging to an elderly relative.  This elderly relative had no family connections with America, so I guess the serviceman will have to remain a mystery.  Once again thanks for the help that is always provided by RootsChatters.

Kind regards

World War Two / What uniform is this?
« on: Wednesday 29 May 19 00:57 BST (UK)  »
The serviceman in this photo is most likely an Australian serving during WW2.  I would like to know what uniform he is wearing to help me find his identity.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / unknown Aunt Ann

This photo belonged to an elderly relative.  Aunt Ann is written on the back.  I think Ann has a lovely serene face but the photo is quite grainy.  is it possible to improve the photo and give it a slight colouring?

Thanks for your help

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: William Parker headstone
« on: Sunday 06 January 19 21:14 GMT (UK)  »
Thank you Mckha489 and arthurk for you replies.  I agree arthurk that either grateful or thankful fits nicely within the headstone text.  I have ordered William's death certificate to find out why he died at such an early age.  William's eldest daughter, together with her husband and children, migrated to Victoria, Australia.

Kind regards Agaye

Thank you DrDude45 for the colour version of the Vauxhall car photo.  It certainly brightens the picture and brings it to life.  Well done!
