« on: Wednesday 14 September 22 12:13 BST (UK) »
Hi
I am hoping to find more information on my great grandmother Mary COUGHLAN who was convict
She was tried Trail Date 22/ 10/1851 CASHEL sessions by Sargeant Howley for stealing clothing from Mrs Lahey at native place and previously for stealing butter. Sentenced to 7 years transportation (12 Months) was sent to the Grange Forward and left Dublin 8 Jun 1852 arrived Hobart 1 Sep 1852 on the Martin Luther. She was 5 Foot brown hair blue eyes aged 24 and native place was given as Tipperrary occupation kitchen hand. She lists a brother David at her native place All this information is gained from records in Australia.
I have tried searching online with no luck for trail records or prison records which may narrow down were Mary was born. Some I have come across on will not open
Are Irish records for these trail records or prison records available? which may give me assistance in finding her parents and
Any assistance or advice would be most appreciated
