United States of America / Re: Julian de Ovies and Eleanor, nee Cassidy
« on: Wednesday 15 May 24 14:52 BST (UK)  »

Eleanor, Julian, their children, and several of the Cassidy family (including Eleanor's parents) left Liverpool for the USA, and arrived in New York City on 21 March 1887, but I've struggled to trace Eleanor and her parents after this.

Julian married a woman named Minnie McDonald in 1891

Julian's obit mentions a daughter and two sons

(see below)

The last two paragraphs confirm she was Minnie McDonald and she married Julian in 1891.

Many, many thanks for all these very useful references and obits.  Particularly valuable for previously married widows and their correct families.
I shall slowly work my way through all these and connect with a whole range of new families in far off Nebraska.

He appears in the 1900–1940 censuses for Central City, Merrick, Nebraska.

The Central City Library has newspapers for that time periods and dates.
