hello victor i think you have found him what do you think??..i have seen harrington put down as yarrington as well...i was wondering where the name henry started from as henry is very prominent in my line of harringtons

my 4xgt grandad john harrington b abt 1781/2 census looks like winchcombe glos on the 1851 census in birmingham

my 3x gt grandad henry harrington b abt 1812 dudley
my 2.gt grandad henry harrington b 1843 birm
my gt grandad henry harrington b 1870 birm
my grandad henry harrington b 1903 birm
and my dad is george henry harrington...

many many thanks victor if henry is my 5x gt grandfather it could be that john was named after anns father or maybe they did have a son called henry but hes not my direct line..

hello everyone i am new here so i do hope i am posting on the right thread...not sure if anyone can help me but here goes..my 4x gt grandfather john harrington was born abt 1782 on the 1851 census he is in birmingham and although place of birth is transcribed as witcham glos this cant be right as witcham is not in glos....looking again at the orginal census which is not very clear it could be winchcombe where he was born...really i just want to try and go back another generation so if anybody could help me locate his baptism giving his parents names i would so so grateful

many thanks for any help or advise..
