Hi all,

I’m trying to pick up where I left off long time ago. If anyone else had anything they could share it would be much appreciated. Before I stopped researching I was trying to look for more information on my great great grandfather John Messenger, son of Thomas Messenger and Amy Mills. Any suggestions on where to start? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Hi Therese,

My name is Shaye and I am the great grand daughter of John and Doris Clark. My Dad would be your half cousin. I've spoken to my Dad and it appears that my family does know about your Mum.

I am happy to help and try to answer as many questions as possible.

Shaye

Thank you very much everyone for their help. You guys are amazing!! I don't know much about him because he died when my grandmother was 12 years old and then she died before I was born but you've given my family a lot of answers 😊😊😊

Okay I know this may be a long shot but I wonder if anyone can help me.
I'm trying to look for any information about my Great Grandfather John Clark.

I don't have a lot of information but I came across my Grandmothers Birth Certificate (Jean Elizabeth Scott Clark 1932-1984 Born in Adelaide, South Australia)

Which States her Father As:
John Clark
1888 Lanarkshire, Scotland.

and her mother
Doris Louise Bottom
1895 Adelaide, South Australia

I've been speaking to my grandmothers brother and have found out that John and Doris died within a year of each other and have found that Doris died in 1944 but have found nothing about the elusive John Clark, could it be cause his name is so common? Can anyone help me please??

My wife Lorraine (nee Shaw) is the GG Grand daughter of  Thomas Messenger and Amy Mills. We would be very interested to see any photos.

Thomas Messenger + Amy Mills - Alice Messenger + William Thomas Shaw - William Norman Shaw + Gertrude Stanton - Ronald Norman Shaw + Elizabeth Isabel Linda Griffin - Lorraine

We have placed an extensive family tree on Wikitree and I am willing to post photos and info

Hi as I've said above I'm the GGG Grand daughter of Thomas Messenger and Amy Mills.

Thomas Messenger + Amy Mills = John Messenger + Mary Ann Keal = Nellie Clara Messenger + Frederick Claude Stephens = Vernon Claude Stephens + Elizabeth Jean Scott Clark = Craig Stephens + Linda Howlett = Me (Shaye Stephens)

I would love to see any information that you have. Is there anywhere I can show my photos. Unfortunately all my relations on the Messenger side have died there are many photos unidentified so I'm hoping there are some people that can help me
