If anyone is looking for wedding photos of relatives that got married here from 1953 onwards, please contact me , happy to help, my grandfather owned the photo studio on the same street and took most of the wedding pictures here.

Nice one Suzannebe, what a lovely idea. Not my area of the country but I was just having a look at some of them and oh boy they bring back memories.

Yes I think the fashion is amazing in them and the insight into life back then, thanks for the comment appreciate that :)

The Common Room / Trying to reconnect photos of inner city Dublin with their owners
« on: Thursday 04 August 16 18:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi, My Grandfather John Walsh, John was a Dublin Photographer and had a studio and shop on 50 Francis Street in the liberties area of Dublin a few doors down from St.Nicholas of Myra Church. He was most active as a working photographer in the 1950's thru to 80's, and over his lifetime he took many photos of the people around the liberties and Dublin City areas including schools, weddings and family events. When he passed away he left thousands of negatives and photos which I am now trying to share with the people in the pic's. Many families may not have been able to afford to buy the pictures back then so it would be really great if they could see them now and also possibly find family history as many people may have emigrated , please see the link below to the facebook page
