Australia / Re: Ann Freeman, D.O.B. 1863 (?)

It might be a total coincidence, but I’m wondering whether the following couple could have been the parents of Annie and Joseph.

John Freeman b abt 1823/4 Liverpool, still alive in March 1892 (might have died in Broken Hill???)
&
Jane Freeman b abt 1823/4 Liverpool, d 17 Jul 1888 Adelaide Hospital (Last residence: Thebarton)

They  arrived on the Garonne (approx) late 1885, religion=CoE

FYI:
Their names were mentioned in the tree that I'd previously referred to: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/L2YK-W1Z

FYI the following article confirms that Annie was in South Australia by Aug 1886:

While it was suggested that they came on SS Daphne, not able to confirm that as Trove record only mentions 32 passengers in steerage, but no names.
Maybe in Sth Aust Library records ??

Many South Australian passengerl ists  are missing ...
There is one left for 1885: "Ashmore"
For 1886: "Amalfi"
And none for 1887 ....

So while you might have thought that my research was insufficient for your needs, it is as good as it gets!

There is the following Aug 1887 Adelaide Hospital admission:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS6D-8SJ7-N?i=69 (#1227).

If this is your Annie, she would have arrived on the Daphne early 1886.

Without certs I can’t be sure if the following is correct, but there is a tree on Family Search that has the following birth for Jane/Jean:

WYCOMBE, JANE
Mother’s Maiden surname: FREEMAN
GRO Reference: 1884  D Quarter in TOXTETH PARK
Volume 08B  Page 250

It would fit with the following NSW marriages:
Year: 1903
Regn: 862/1903
Groom Family Name: Curtis
Groom Given Names: Charles H
Bride Family Name: Wycombe
Bride Given Names: Jane
District: Broken Hill

Year: 1906
Regn: 9618/1906
Groom Family Name: Blight
Groom Given Names: James
Bride Family Name: Curtis
Bride Given Names: Jane
District: Broken Hill

Henry Culshaw in the
South Australia, Australia, Supreme Court Criminal Records, 1837-1918; Reports to the Police Coroner, 1842-1961

Record details
Name   Henry Culshaw
Death Age   age

Is this a coroner's report?

Passenger lists are another possible source ....

PS Victoria has marine deaths from 1853 onward, but of course that falls outside of the time period being researched ...

How sure are you regarding the name "Don"? Could it have been "Doc" instead as per https://essigdb.berkeley.edu/cgi/eme_people_query?name_full=Johann+C.+van+Hille&one=T

If not, maybe give us his full name, the area(s) where he resided, (approx) DOB and DOD, family members etc ....

Hi Treespirit
how can i download the marriage doc from
https://www.mza.cz/actapublica/matrika/detail/4051?image=216000010-000253-003369-000000-001358-000000-00-B01754-02090.jp2

I haven't really used that site, but it seems that it is like the Italian Antenati site where you can only do a screen print or open an image in a new tab. In both cases the result is what you can see on your screen only (re content and size). I'm sure there could be some trick for a better result, but I don't know what it could be.
