Hello, how would I go about looking for any accidents/deaths that occurred any time on this road between 1700-1950? Strange request I know, but thanks if you can help. There is the Old Forge nearby it if that helps.

Thank you! Isn't that uncommon for those days for a child to be baptised at that age? I thought all babies were then. How can I find out more about the mother and father?

Parish record on A......y, not too clear and in Latin. As Rosie notes.

Anna Francisca Whalley   about 1842   15 Mar 1853   Bristol   Samuelis Henrici  & Franciscae

Colin

Thank you! What does it mean 'about 1842' but also '15 March 1853'? Also how come there is no maiden name for the mother?

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could look up the baptism of 'Anna Francisca Whalley'? She was born in Bristol about 1845, and I think it is in a record collection called 'Bristol, England, Non-Conformist Baptism, Marriage and Burial Registers, 1644-1981'. I just don't have a sub to look at it at the moment. :( She went on to move to Liverpool and marry Owen Curran/Cunnan, I just couldn't find her possible birth before now.

Thank you.

I just wanted to thank you all so much for finding this info - especially TyneLass. It means so much to my family at this time, and I am exceedingly grateful for your help.

Thank you so much for this info! Do you think it’s a fairly safe bet he is buried there? I was wondering if I should advise me relative to go look there.

If no one beats me to it I will see if and when (depending on next work rota hours & opening hours) I can next fit in a trip to the archives for you to try to find him.  I will do my best.   :)

Thank you so much, I appreciate that!

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could help me find a burial. A family member of mine has terminal cancer and wants to try and find a grave of one of our relatives.

It is for John Thomas McCormack (sometimes spelt 'McCormick'). He was born 1874 in Gateshead, Durham.

He married Rose Ann Mclaughlin in 1898.

He died January 1914 (I think) in Gateshead. It's the only record I find for a John T McCormick dying, so I think this is him.

In 1911, his address was 26 Holly St Felling, in Heworth, Durham.

Thank you so much
