I really don't have much. I know she was born 1880 to William Henry Miners, and married Edwin Raffell from Plymouth in Bedwellty 1907. They had several children (one being my grandmother Phyllis May Raffell, 1908). Apologies, my post states that she is my grandmother, should read great Grandmother. I guess I'm looking for any available info about her life before marrying Edwin. My mum remembers her albeit vaguely, and we have a couple of photos shortly before she passed away. She married @ 27 years old so those are the blanks I'm trying to fill.

Looking for any info on Albion Reed Raffell. Born in Plymouth UK. Moved to Drummoyne early 1900s. I believe he lived in Melbourne Street. Also would be interested to know what happened to the family after that. He is my Grandfathers brother (Grandfathers name Edwin Raffell)

Help! I don't have paid subscription to findmypast and hoping someone can help who does. I'm looking at an address in Plymouth ' 6 Polruan Terrace'. I can see my grandfather ' Edwin Raffell' lived there with my grandmother although they detail 3 other persons which I can't see. Could anyone help?

Hi canrjm. I'm looking to fill the gaps on their lives in Plymouth and Bedwellty, yet also tracing the family back further. As far as I'm aware, my mother is the only existing member (other than me and my siblings) from Edwin's branch of the Raffell bloodline. My grandmother Phylliss was one of several children of Edwin, who I believe were named Phyliss May Raffel (my grandmother), Wallace Reginald Raffell (died aged 1), Albion Reed Raffell and Reginald C Raffel (unsure if more). These are now deceased I have been unable to trace any link to children they may have had. On this basis I can only presume there were none. As my mother was an only child of Phyliss, this leads me to believe that she may be the last existing member of Edwin's line. Hence my search for clarification. Although a trace back further could unearth links to second cousins etc.

I'm looking for any information on the Raffell family in Plymouth (Devon). My great grandfather was Edwin Raffell. He and his family resided in the east stonehouse area (late 1800s). They moved to Bedwelly (Wales) in the early 1900's where my grandmother (Phyliss May Raffell) was born in 1908. Phyliss was one of several children born in either Plymouth or Bedwellty. Sometime after they moved back to Plymouth although I can find very little information, ie dates, addresses etc.. I'm doing a bit of research for my mum (Phyliss's daughter) as she was an only child and keen to find any info on her family. Any help to fill gaps would be very much appreciated.
