Does anyone have any information on Samuel Robert Pyle whose son, George Richard, was born in Guernsey, Channel Islands on 30th July 1867 to Louisa Susanna Blachford?
I don't have dates of birth for either spouse and suspect they may not have been born in Guernsey, as their records do not seem to be present there.

The 1871 Guernsey Census shows Louisa living there with her son, then aged 3, and Denis Brennan (52). According to the CI Census of 1881, Louisa was born in Middlesex, London and is still in Guernsey with Denis and her son then aged 14.  She later had a daughter named Ada with Denis Brennan born in ~1874, .

Many thanks for any information you can provide, particularly with reference to Samuel Pyle, who is not recorded on Channel Island records after 1867.

Hi Heather
Yves was a Serjeant in the King's Own Scottish Borderers, who died age 49 on 16th Feb 1947. He is in the St Peter Port Cemetery (Foulon) Guernsey. His wife was Ellen (or Nellie, Nell) who lived in Guernsey before (I think) and after the war. When Guernsey was occupied, Nell had already left and headed to Berwick. Other family members visited her there during the war. Yves was on active service away from Guernsey. At the time of Yves death, Nell's address was Croutes St Peter Port.
Ernest Le Friec (brother) was a Stoker 1st Class with HMS Victory at the time of his death in Berwick (27/03/1942). He is in the Tweedmouth Cemetery.
Harry Le Friec (brother) was in the RAF, but returned to Guernsey after the war.
Lucian Le Friec (brother) lived in Guernsey and ran a private hotel with his wife Win at Havelet, St Peter Port after the war.
Leontine (sister) lived in Guernsey and married Fred West.
Louise (sister) lived in Guernsey and married George Brennan.

I am interested in any info on Yves Marie Le Friec b. c 1860 France and his wife Maryann b France. In 1901 census they are living in St Peter port Guernsey. Yves is a gardener. I know their son Yves b. 1899 joined the army and was at some point stationed in Berwick on tweed Northumberland. I wondered if any one had any  info on his siblings or where and when his parents died. I know Yves married in Berwick on Tweed and I think had 3 children.
many thanks
I am a descendant of Yves Mari Le Friec who was born 18th Feb 1859 at Saint Clet, Cotes du Nord, Brittany. Yves mother was Catherine Pasquiou (or perhaps Jasguiou), father Guillaume Le F. I believe Yves left for Jersey and then settled in Guernsey for the rest of his life, where he died in December 1944.
He married Marie Anne Trebuy known in Guernsey as Trubuil. The family moved to Les Fauconnaires in St Andrew at some point. I think the children from Yves and Marie Anne were; Yves, Lucian (Steve), Francois (Frank), Ernest, Harold (Harry) Marie Louise (Louie) and Leontine (Ling). Louie is my Grandmother.
