Hi Girl Guide & KGarrad,

Thank you for the help and sorry for the late reply.

I'll look into obtaining a military record. May even find out more about him.

I guess I just wanted to find a little more about him, his time in the army, what his role was and where he traveled in India etc. Always interesting finding history on family.

Many thanks
Hannah

Below is part of Army form B 200d including statement of service while in territorial army which looks like he transferred to R.C Signals

Hi GirlGuide,

Thank you for the reply!

Yes, that is my grandfather's date of birth and year of death.
His army number: 14295226
I will attach both army forms separately due to file size

Many thanks
Hannah

Family History Beginners Board / Finding army timeline

Heya,
I am looking into my grandfather, Wilfrid Frederick Maynard's timeline while in the army and the regiment/unit he was in. I know his joined the Territorial army in 1942 and sent not long after to India in 1943. I have a copy of army form B 200d & form B.102 but am unsure where to look to find answers. I have his army number but his number doesn't seem to be recognized on Ancestry & Find My Past websites.
Any help would be hugely appreciated :)
Many thanks
Hannah
