OK B

I will look at it tomorrow when I can can see the tree fullscreen on my PC

Scratch my head a few times, cast some runes, face east and seek guidance.

Then maybe we can work up options that could be worthy of development.

Or maybe a large Pims will help loosen the old grey cells at some point on the morrow.

Will get back to you via a PM.

I’m struggling to visualise.

I cannot answer your specific question, it is probably better asked on the Roots Magic Forum where Staff frequent.

There are multiple routes to all very distant predecessors, it is just a case of finding them.

My Wife has William the Conqueror in her tree as 26xGGF but there are multiple routes to get to him

She has different routes that take her to each of three of the sons of a member of the Stanley family so each one is both her xGGF and xGUncle.

Great another success at getting membership at a reasonable cost.

It set me in panic mode, my old grey cells could not be sure if our account is still showing auto renewal.

It is showing …… Expiring 14 July

So that is OK, this is what the renewal cost options are showing.

We usually get the Worldwide for £89.99

I have never known anyone get an auto renewal for £89-99 Worldwide.

Think you need to make sure it doesn't auto renew and you pay full price.

Easy to cancel membership so that it doesn't auto-renew, it will still run until your expiry date.

Regards
Sandra

Sanda

I did not write that it auto renews at £89.99.

Notice on the image that there is nothing showing for the renewal cost of Annual Worldwide

I let the subscription EXPIRE, then initiate renewal a couple of days later via a link or via a telephone call.

It is always useful to use the search function, it saves us having to write chapter and verse again when the question has already been answered as is the case.

Read.

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Denmark in dna test
« on: Thursday 16 May 24 17:27 BST (UK)  »
It is certainly possible.

I would upload your DNA to My Heritage as well

More information would help, in that how much cM does your higher matches share with your Aunt?

If say as Brigidmac sort of suggests he could have been a Sailor then if he Fathered others and his Great Grandchild took a DNA test they would share about 120cM with you and be a 1/2 Second Cousin.

Certainly “borrow” the other trees and build a stand alone one and see how it works.

Once you have a tree and a few DNA matches linked in it then export the tree as a GEDCOM and upload to DNA Painter’s WATO tool

One of my Wife’s Grandfather’s was from Dorset, all his various lines going back as far as possible were from Dorset.

Her Communities and Admixture returns Zero Dorset results where by rights it should be about 25%.

You cannot rely on what Ancestry reports, simply take it as a rough and ready guide with a huge variation in accuracy.

Sort of like setting the Sat Nav in Manchester to take you to Edinburgh and it takes you there via London just because that is where most people start their journeys to Edinburgh from.
