Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Re: Danygraig Cemetery, Port Tennant
« on: Saturday 23 March 24 14:55 GMT (UK)  »
It's very difficult to work out the numbers in Danygraig, but my son and I walked the two sections this week without any luck in finding stones for the people you mentioned.

The Supervisor wasn't there so I couldn't ask, but I'm pretty sure we didn't miss anything.

If you do want to visit, contact the Supervisor in advance -  (number and cemetery plan on this link)

  - I've always found them very helpful.

Hello everyone,
Looking for a bit of advice please?
I have an address in Workington and want to find out who lived there in the early 1970s.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Thank you.
B.

Oh goodness, that's a surprise! I'll need a completely different image. 😄

Oh I love that one. Salisbury Whisker conjours up an image of a very upright man with a thick full beard. 😀
Much better than the Posthumous Thomas I came across recently. ☹️

Pembrokeshire / Re: Clydey book

There is no publisher mentioned, unfortunately.

This is the inside page of the book.

There is a printer's name on the back, but that's all.

Pembrokeshire / Clydey book

I have book called 'A Century of Local Lives in the Parish of Clydey' 1900 to 2000.
I'm told there was a sequel/second volume. Can anyone help me with the name and any other details of it please? I'd like to try to find it as my Grandfather was born in Clydey and my 91 year old mother knew the area well.
Many thanks.

Trish, thank you so much! I don't know how you did this research, but I'm very grateful to you for solving the mystery.

I didn't even know Uncle Harold had ever been a miner, but my mother just confirmed it.

Thank you, once again!

 :D ;)
