My eye was also caught by Florence Maud Calway as her birth was registered in Q4 1889, so not far off the July dob, but I think she died in 1890

Charles D'arcy 51  b Ireland
James D'arcy    19    Son b Bolton

He's sometimes referred to as James Darcy Boxwell on his children's records.  Jesse is also a Darcy Boxwell

1841 Census - there's a William Jones, age 35, Bridge Street - is the occupation "Baker" ?

Yes, I saw that too. There seem to be three Bridge Streets in Bristol at that time (or perhaps there is some spanning of boundaries) – is there any way to know which is which?

Their Bridge St is in the parish of St Nicholas

Devon Lookup Requests / Re: Edwin Daniel/s East Stonehouse

Perhaps Emma Daniel(s) is Edwin's mum?  ??? Particularly if she was born circa 1842 (as per the 1861 census). That might explain Edwin being listed as Eliza's grandson.

Haven't found Emma yet after 1861. (On a separate note, it's odd how Rosinna Daniel's birth was registered twice: in 1850 and 1852).

The first Rosina died - here's the registration

I have gone back to look at Mary Ann McManus  - Born 27 Oct 1859 in Birmingham,  I have her in the
1861 census father James McManus Tailor.  1871 in Winchester.
In 1891 she is living in same house as a James Harlow it states she is single.  No occ.
I think this is where the Harlow comes in but no marriage as yet.

James Harlow
Mary McManus

Q2 1891
South Stoneham Vol 2c p111

Looks like James might have died Isle of Wight in 1892. He's the right age,and had a widow called Mary Ann,  but I'm a little unsure because of the probate register noting him as of Colborne, IoW and a licensed victualler. The one Mary McManus was with was a coachman/gardener with no IoW  connections, althugh I guess they may have decided to start a new life/enterprise on marriage?

Bit of info on William's death (based on his address in 1901). translated from the original Welsh

22 April 1909

Peniel (Chapel) lost its oldest deacon, and one of its founders in the death of brother William Harris, Nicholas Road. He lived to the fair age of 79. Since the start of the year he had the 'crown of old age' [not sure what this is - perhaps he was oldest in the congregation?] No doubt his loyalty to the best cause has now secured him a better crown. God protect his grieving widow who is like him in the shadows of the evening [of life].
A resident of Glais.
