Maybe they should start on your avatar ??   Its truly amazing what they can do ...

They could turn you into anyone from Marilyn Monroe to Mrs T.   (Now there's a horrid thought !)

What an excellent idea! Both the avatar and I could certainly do with some help... ;) ;D

Thank you so much Poll. I think that GG's smile is getting bigger in inverse proportion to the size of her nose!! I'm really spoilt for choice now. The size is fine thanks. I never thought that anybody would be able to make anything nice of that picture - how wrong I was.  ;D

Thank you very much Glen. There are so many ways of doing these aren't there. She's getting happier all the time! You have found a good solution to the black blob on the ribbon/collar as well. I thought it was an aberration but maybe it was there for a reason.  :) :D

Mind I like Caz's nose    ;D .   ....in fact the whole picture is very clever.
I agree - Caz has managed to turn her a little more full-faced. They all look like the same person though so I am confident that the resemblance is good.  ;D ;D

LOL!! They both have long socks on - I hadn't noticed that she too had been given ankle socks! Oh the memories come flooding back of garters that were either too tight and hurting or too lose and the socks were falling down! ;D ;D

Here we go again - I knew I couldn't leave poor Great Gran alone! I've had another bash at it using Pete's image. I have tried to soften the contour of the nose bridge making the final interpretation a little bit more ambiguous and I did push it up a little bit but I can hardly see where! I also made small changes to the eyes and mouth. I think we are just about there now. Cheers from a very happy bunny!

Here's two cents worth from somebody who can't even tackle that - I think I can see that the boy's socks go up to just below his knees. That was pretty usual in those days. ;)

Thanks very much Caz! That is a very clever way of resolving how high the bridge should be. I'm going to have to mull over Great Gran for a more few days I think! :) In the meantime I have asked the relation who sent me the scan in the first place if he could try again now that scanners have got better and see if there is any more detail discernible.
