In answer to a very old post, my great-grandfather Alfred Berry and his wife lived at 33 Larch Road between 1919 and 1935. Before WWI they lived at 86 Larch Road.

Lincolnshire / Howden family Spilsby/Toynton

I am looking for the parents of Frances Howden. According to the 1851 census she was born in Spilsby. she married Charles Russell at St. Pancras Old Church in 1828. She was born c1806.

Does anybody have any information on the Howdens from the Spilsby area? There are one or two Howdens in the IGI, and quite a few around this area on the 1841 and 1851 census, including an Ann and Arthur Howden who would be the right kind of age to have been Frances' parents.

Berkshire / Goods in Newington c1780

This is a re-post of a message I posted in the Oxforshire forum since it subsequently occured to me that this place might have been, or currently is, in Berkshire rather than Oxfordshire ...

Does anybody here know anything about the Good family from Newington (between Chalgrove and Wallington). I am looking for a Mary Good born c1780 who possibly had a sister named Patience.

I'd be most grateful to anybody who has the fiche (or access to it), produced by OFHS for Newington St. Giles, and could do a lookup for these two people from me.

TIA,

Steven.

This picture may be of interest, I obtained it at least 3rd hand, but it is supposed to be a picture of all the children living in Larch Road in 1922.

Does anybody here know anything about what happened to Kate Street and Larch Road in Balham? I am completely unable to find these streets on MapPoint. The closest I've found is Larch Close near Fernlea Road which is where I would have guessed it might be from the residences of various relatives during the period 1900-1940.

I read somewhere that there is now a school on the area where Kate Street used to be. My great-grandmother lived on Kate Street until her death in 1972, so the buildings must have been demolished since then.

any information would be most appreciated.

Elizabeth's surname was Allbutt. Marriage GRO reference Chelsea/1860/Dec/1a/233.

I would be interested in any further information on Frederick since I am related to this branch of the Caesar via Frederick's sister Harriett.
