Hi
My ancestor, Louisa Stupples was born in Ramsgate, Kent, England in 1855.
She was the daughter of George Stupples (1823-1881) and Jemima Butler (1825-1881).
In 1880, Louisa married William Harman (1859-1936).
They had a daughter, Elizabeth Louisa Harman (1880-1953) - born in St Lawrence, Kent, England.
This is the family in the 1881 census in Ramsgate, living with Louisa's parents (George and Jemima Stupples):

Elizabeth Harman (aged 10);
Beatrice Harman (aged 2);
William Harman (aged 11 months):

The marriage of William Harman and Annie Elizabeth Maskell doesn't seem to happen until 1920.
I thought initially that Louisa Harman (Stupples) must have died between 1881 and 1889 (the birth of Beatrice Harman), but there are no deaths or burials for her in England.
There is one Louisa Harman died in Kent in 1883 (aged 69), which I thought may have been a mis-print of the age, but I've found her probate record and it states she was a widow from Canada now living in Kent.
And there is a burial for a Louisa Harman-Fisher in Brompton Cemetery (London) in 1885 (death age recorded as 31), which I thought must have been her which I added to Findagrave.
However, someone has since uploaded her grave photo and the inscription gives her parents which are completely different to George and Jemima Stupples, so that is incorrect.
I'm now thinking that William Harman and Louisa seperated, and he lived with Annie Maskell, but couldn't marry her until 1920 due to bigamy laws?
But where is Louisa Harman (Stupples) after 1881?
Can anybody please help?
Thanks.
Darin.
