Isle of Man Lookup Requests / Re: William Henry Corrin
« on: Saturday 08 November 08 08:28 GMT (UK)  »
Thanks for that Voirrey M, I also have Walter Bromley,  May  & james Binney Corrin.
These all have a birth reference by their names but William Henry Corrin does not for some reason & we have as yet found no trace of his birth as I said having searches done from 1878-1885 (incl). William Charles & Annie Corrin married in 1876 where Annie is down as a minor, I wonder heither she was pregnant ( possibly with William Henry) as we haven't searched 1876-1877. It is most frustrating. Thanks

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Mary Field
« on: Thursday 06 November 08 19:49 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I am trying to trace family of Mary Field, born abt 1833 in St Marylebone, London. She married peter Coote at St Pancras old Church in Dec 1860, She had 3 children: William, Emma Agnes & Susan June Coote.
She is found living with a Smith family in Marylebone in 1841 cencus & she is a servant in 1851 Cencus.
Her marriage certificate has her father down as George Field (deceased) no profession entered.
I would like to be able to find out when she was born, parents names & any sibling details. I am completely stuck & would be grateful for any assistance, as I am going around in circles & getting nowhere.
many thanks, Gill

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Re: William (Blake) Coote

Hi,
I have had to put out an updated post on William Blake Coote as I have had a 3 year search done that was between 1883/85 in London but only the first 6 entries were checked so I am getting back in touch with the GRO to get the search done.
In meantime I have had to reimput a post to see if anything comes from that on Beginners forum. It is worth a try & the 1891 Cencus & 1901 Cencus info is from his family> Thanks again, Gill

Thanks Dollylee for the constructive advice.
I am currently now looking into it but would there be a death record for a sailor as so far I cannot find anything on Free BMD, FamilySeach, org or Ancestry.co.uk.
I have tried the Bmd records before I posted this request for help. THanks, Gill

Family History Beginners Board / William (Blake) Coote
« on: Wednesday 21 May 08 17:45 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I am now completely flumuxed over the birth of my grandfather, William Blake Coote.
His mother Eliza Mary Blake married William Coote in Chelsea in 1886.
He was born as William Blake between 1882/1885 before his parents were married, taking on the name Coote after his parents married.
I have asked the GRO to do a 3 year search (1882/85) but they only searched first 6 names of each year.
How can it be so difficult to find out when he was born & where, as we know the rest.
I have asked about this before but the 2 birth records I obtained were wrong & I thought the search would bring about a result. Can anyone help to add this piece in? Thanks, Gill

Family History Beginners Board / Missing relative!
« on: Monday 12 May 08 07:49 BST (UK)  »
 ??? Hi,
I really hope that there is someone out there who can help me in tracing a missing relative!
He is CORRIE BAMPTON born in Eton in 1900, he had 2 brothers & 1 sister all of whom I know about but Corrie is a complete mystery!
After 1901 Cencus there is no record of him in BMDs, etc.
I did see a mention of the following:
1930 United States Federal Cencus
Name: Corrie Bampton
Spouse: H W
Birth: about 1883
Residence: 1930- city, New Haven, Conneticut

I know the birth range is alot but it has been known for people to exaggerate their age in the past.
If he died as a child surely there would be a record for him? Help, thanks>
