Immigrants & Emigrants - General / Re: Grandfather in Canada
« on: Thursday 11 April 19 05:21 BST (UK)  »
There is a Henry H Clark arriving in Canada in 1905. Appears to be a good match. He's 25 yrs old, from Glamorgan, he's a clerk & is bound for Montreal, Quebec.

Looking for an article is going to be tough searching without at least a year. If you think this is him, could it be possible this incident took place between 1905 & 1911?

He may have been in Canada as early as 1905.

Hi Pejic,

What part of Wales did your Grandfather come from & is it possible he was in Canada even earlier then what you think & went back & forth?

Wondering if someone would do a death notice look up in the Dundee Courier for me? Year and day known.

Thank you,

Thank you flst,

Elisabeth Smith is from her 1st marriage to John Smith. Christian, James & John are from the 2nd. James Simpson is her grandson from her other daughter Jane Smith who married Adam Matthew & I descend from their son John Matthew.
I've posted about the Matthew family on here before, also another Milne family that I don't think are related to this John Milne/Jane Cowie Milnes.

Thank you Ruth,

I now have a "hit" for George Milne & Helen Masson. Going to e-mail this researcher & see if they know anymore.

Would he mean Burn of Asleed? I can find that. I think its in the parish of Montquhitter.

Yes there is. Its a little hard to read, but I'll type up what I think it says.

Looks like: Asleed, under that it has Tarves crossed out, under that it looks like it may be Monquitter.
