Gresham St is now demolished, but it was a terrace off St Catherine St, parallel to Brandon St. There is an old photo of Brandon St on the web to see what they were like.

From the new book about the Brewery: The Life and Times of Daniel Thwaites Brewery 1807-2007 by Jehanne Wake;

"Daniel had married Betty Duckworth at the Parish church of Blackburn. Betty had three sisters: Mary, who was married to Robert Yates a yeoman farmer of Duckworth Hall in Oswaldtwistle, and Grace and Ellen, who were then unmarried."

Further to the death of Edward Duckworth in 1822.
The burial record on the Great Harwood site says aged 69.
Whereas the quoted newspaper article concerning the death of Edward of the brewery says age 60.

Why this discrepancy? Are you sure they are the same person.

Wateringbury is in the registars district of Malling.

Kent Lookup Requests / Wateringbury marriage lookup
« on: Saturday 20 November 10 17:12 GMT (UK)  »
Could someone do a lookup for a marriage at Wateringbury for me. It is not covered by the IGI at the required date.
Marriage Ada Jane Prudence Evans to John Thwaites I believe on 24 Feb 1859.

She is the daughter of Robert Mendham Evans and Emma (nee Muggeridge)

Thanks Tom GGGson
