Hi there, back on this website after many years absence!

Jonah Morgan, born c.1817, however place of birth changes from census to census - in 1861 it's Begelly;  1871 it's Carmarthenshire;  1881 it's Llandewey, Pembs, and 1891 it's St Clears, Carmarthenshire! All we know for sure is he married Sarah Davies in Narbeth in 1843, with his oldest son John born in Begelly in 1844. I am descended from his son Levi, also born in Begelly in 1856.

I would greatly appreciate any tips on how to pin down Jonah; following the Morgan name has always been a key interest of mine and my relatives.

Hi,

I would really appreciate some help with my current brick wall!

I have recieved some information from a relative, so I don't know how they found out any of this. I am looking for a Rose Mary Franklin, born 18 July 1887, but I do not have a location. She ended up in Norfolk, but there is no Franklin's of the right name in the area. The only other information I know about her is that her mother was Emma Franklin (nee Green). I don't have a first name for her father.

I have done a free search of the 1891 census, and there are three Rose M Franklin's in the country. One is in Berkshire, one in Warwickshire and one in Oxfordshire. She may not have given the 'M' or 'Mary' at all, but it is a start!

If anyone is able to check mother's names to get somewhere in this mystery and possibly find a father's name I would be very thankful.
