Oh I'm sorry, I don't understand where I need to go to look at Parliamentary Papers.  I live in Adelaide, South Australia, so will need to find them online.  Can you please give me a clue?
We would have returned to the UK for another holiday/research exercise, but of course are stuck here at home for the forseeable future!
thanks for your advice,  Meredith

Thank you to those who have picked up on my post again.  I really appreciate the input.  Wilmett (aka Ann) arrived in New Zealand in 1840 - she was very difficult to follow as she married there in 1841, then moved to Sydney, before coming by boat around to Adelaide, South Australia.
I still haven't found anything to support her story of teaching in Ireland, but doubt if I will ever find such evidence.
I have her parents' Will (Devon), and burial records for Newton Poppleford.  So not sure there's anything more I could find.
Thanks again,  Meredith.

Kay99 - your hyperlink for the Grace Chapel included the name of the first Minister - C Collins - which matches the name of the Minister on John Gale's burial register....."Chas Collins".   So a Big Thank You.  Meredith.

Kent / Bexley Heath, Kent

Hi Rootschatters of Kent.  I have a non-conformist record for the burial of John Gale in the Chapel at Bexley Heath, in 1830 (found it on "Find My Past").  Any clues as to which Chapel this could be?  Online records are very detailed for the Church of England parishes, but not so for the Chapels.  I wonder if the Chapel still exists, with the War and redevelopment since that early time.
thank you,  Meredith.

Australia / Ipswich (Queensland) Cemetery records
« on: Tuesday 05 February 19 10:36 GMT (UK)  »
Hi, Can someone advise me if the burial records for Ipswich General Cemetery are available to Queenslanders (or Australians generally) via accessible databases/print productions? I'm trying to find out if ancestors John Down (died 1862) and his remarried widow Naomi Jeffcoat (died 1888) have headstones/burial locations? I'm finding the searching process rather convoluted, compared to many others I've done.   I can't visit the site personally, so am hoping a local may be able to solve my query.
Thank you, Meredith.

Devon / Re: Census location query - "Waterloo" , North Tawton

Hi Julandy, Sorry about the late response...have been on holidays.  Very interesting re the location of "Waterloo".  We visited the town in 2016, and bemoanded the lack of detail in Census records re exact street addresses.  Thanks for the info.  Cheers, Meredith & Peter (the descendant of the Taylors of North Tawton)
