I don’t know your circumstances RTL, but I agree with Rena, this has been going on a long time ,in such circumstances we really are not thinking straight, and so don’t really see about ourselves what we would in others.

I think your Dr. would be helpful.
You need to think clearly given your responsible job,it is not selfish to make sure you are 100%,as a conscientious person ,do it for those you care for at
work and your family and  not least yourself .
Don’t leave yourself open to being thought negligent because you did not want to let anyone down by having a rest ,  because it could be seen as just that if you try to work beyond what are reasonable hours .
Only you know just how tired you are ,but your GP will surely advise.
Don’t give anyone the chance to throw back at you” You ought to have told us” .
Sincere sympathy and best wishes that there is some improvement in your gruelling work and travel conditions.

We have a duty to look after ourselves especially when we care for others.
It is not self pity or selfishness, quite the opposite, it is being conscientious.

I usually make traybakes, more pieces and still a decent size .
Lemon drizzle ,Chocolate Chip, Gingerbread.
You can get twelve 3”x3” pieces out of a 12x9 inch tray.
A good big fruit cake goes a long way too especially if baked in a deep square tin .

Sorry you are so exhausted RTL, have you tried Vitamins, especially C and
 D .,I find them a real tonic.?
You are not without health awareness so you probably have .
As posters say, say your hours are merciless.

Sorry about your rainy day L.M.

Sweet Peas ,how lovely ,such a nice scent.

Well a miserable tasteless tea, I used the last of Sunday’s chicken ,,mushrooms and a packet mushroom sauce , creamed potatoes and sprouts.
I could not taste anything!
I am never good with packet stuff , but my taste is altered since Covid way back.

Look after yourselves folks .

Quite a nice sunny day here ,but not too warm.

I watched Michael Gove speak about the situation re Israel, and agreed with him.
That students here in our Universities who are from other countries ,can stir up unrest and anti Israeli protests here is really not on!
All The Israelis want is a safe homeland ,and don’t they deserve one!

What troubled times,-Donald Trump is beyond belief but then so is the contaminated blood matter here!
What with the P.O.scandal and the Blood scandal ,where have ethics gone to?

I am off to sit in the garden !

Hope those tired and not well soon feel better , and the troubled find solutions to their worries.

Viktoria..

All O.K here, a dull start but sun coming through.
I am sorting through clothes ,many never worn ,bought just before lockdown.
I have lost weight since then so am sorting what I can alter etc.

I am a hoarder ,well when I was a youngster we did not have many, our
‘“best “  were  kept for Sundays , thank goodness for strict school uniform rules!

It will be interesting to see if The King is allowed in to the Children’s Garden in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show!

Must get in touch with our Rector’s wife who is organising the afternoon tea, of course we will be baking etc ,she will need to know what we are making etc.

I forgot to say when speaking to Kyra on the phone she was trying to show me  what she was playing with,ie her dolly’s tea set I got her at Christmas.
Not used to speaking to a prehistoric landline phone!
Honestly she is more adept than I am!

Well lots to do so better get on .
Look after yourselves folks .

Well ,two lovely sunny days, it quite cheers you up.

Church today, it was unintentionally funny —- a lovely lady,a Lay Reader, took the service, she was wearing the microphone so her voice during the hymns was very loud, the sort of voice with an “ edge” ,it really grated but she missed a verse out so very loudly sang not the same words as the congregation !

There is to be a “ Ladies Only “ posh afternoon tea , we will all have to bake of course .
Our really good new Rector’s wife is organising it, she is very involved and also has a full time job as a Vet .
Recently  announced they are expecting a baby .
They are really what we needed.
There are four  Churches , quite spread out so a lot of work .

One at Edenfield was a ‘ Chapel of Rest for pilgrims wending their way to Whaley Abbey ,so very old .

Spoke with little Kyra  when I phoned her mummy to say Happy Birthday , she was really chatty, “ Grandma, my bedroom , toys , my toys”
They have just moved and she is thrilled to have her own bedroom big enough for her toys..
I have a feeling I have told that already  ::)
Well milky coffee ( de- caf) time then bed .

Thanks for the mention that L.M. and I have not been posting just recently , that is kind.
Hope all are well , look after yourselves .
Viktoria.

Thanks, yes my arm is much better, more easy movement and just a small ,still sore spot where the needle went in.
Don’t know if it was the Ibuprofin ,I have a lot of medication so did not want to take more by way of pain killers.
Got my new trellis, and managed to break the structure of the old trellis without damaging the clematis, which is not really high yet but full of fat buds.
A have some little plant clips which I can use to support it  and it should soon attach itself to the willow trellis.
A big Lupin and a Hollyhock also  for  a couple of empty spots.
Son and daughter in law off on holiday to Rhodes in a day or so and will be away for my birthday hence the early present .

A sunny morning but some afternoon showers but I got the washing dry .

Fish and chips for tea, so a nice lazy day really .

Feel quite a lot better already on the double strength medication , Entresto, (Sacubitril 49mg - Valsartin 51 mg).

Hope others not well are feeling better too.
Cheerio.

I find it rather overwhelming having to drink a lot of water, I feel as if I am drowning!
Had Covid vaccination yesterday ,the nurse did it right at the top of my arm,on the rounded shoulder joint really - WOW - did it hurt!
Later in the evening I could not move my arm and such pain !
Had real difficulty getting undressed and washed for  bed ,no sleep at all and in the shower this morning real difficulty.
I was given a leaflet to read after the vaccination and told to read it all.
At home I did and to my consternation it can give you Myocarditis and Pericarditis, —- nice when you are in heart failure  ::)
I am sure it ought to be given intramuscular .

After many applications of Ibuprofin cream it is easing now, but the joint kept locking .

New medications after Heart clinic today, ,another full review in a few weeks.

After yesterday’s lovely weather today was grey, cold and wet.
Such a difference.

Off to garden centre tomorrow with number one son ,they are off on holiday when it is my birthday an early o present .
I need a new trellis for  clematis they gave me.

Well an early night ,I am shattered .
Hope everyone is alright.
Look after yourselves .

Well Flash Harry and Kyra are my great grandchildren ,their Daddy is my grandson.
He is 33 this month.
New baby will be the third great grandchild, but months to go yet and hopes all goes well this time.

Who would have thought it ,—- oodathowtit?
Chucking it down this morning!

Hope those not well are starting to feel better .
I am at the Cardiac Failure Clinic tomorrow ,supposed to have a monitor fitted but no news of that yet.
I enjoyed working in the garden yesterday, took my time and had frequent rests sitting in the sunshine ,had a good few hours ( five) sleep last night too.

Fed the fish just now, so hungry after their winter “rest”, and just as tame, who says fish have no memories !

Look after yourselves folks - OH! My friend says all the work going in at BT junction boxes is to do with scrapping landlines ,which are being phased out ,whatever will replace them ? Is this  another age discrimination to make us all computer literate? Even those who rely on phones for assistance and daily
needs etc ,honestly I would vote for Donald Trump if he saved my phone!.

Oldies being discriminated against again!
More technology when I already have to look at my washer instructions if I vary from the usual programme !!!

It is a good job exclamation marks are not rationed!

Cheerio. Off to phone my daughter, their Wedding Anniversary today - sent  a card last week so hopefully it has arrived.
Viktoria.

Covid at 10-20 ,then a bit of shopping and home ,
Son back today,an easy quick tea if he is hungry, often not after a long
journey .

A phone call from my Grand daughter today, she is expecting a baby——- yippee!
A few sad occurrences and  worries and she was afraid she would never go full term but this time all looks much better than before.
I know baby clothes are much easier to launder etc these days but I shall have to get my knitting needles out, won’t be able to, resist.
Tiny bootees!
She is 30, in November.

Flash Harry’s Birthday treat was a visit to an Agricultural Show,I think that was lovely and a better choice than many other options .
His Daddy loved goats especially Pygmy Goats .

Lovely morning, finished tidying the back garden , it looks good .
The burst is back in the side lane, it is a fresh water too leak too, what a waste .
I have already reported it but it could be a week or so before anything iis done.

Covid inoculation tomorrow .
Heart Clinic at Hospital on Wednesday .
How shall I cope with all the excitement !

Well there could well be two apples on my dwarf  apple tree, two blossoms today.Mind you it could be only one!
And another Ladybird!- Although it might have been one of the two I saw the
the other day.
They all look the same to me!

Well off to bed
Hope all have a good night’s sleep ,those unwell or worried especially .
Cheerio .
Viktoria.
