Hi sue,

I was searching through Rootsweb (only recently joined) and noticed that we are tracing the same line with regard to the wilsons.

William Wilson (Gray) is my ggg grandfather, his son William being my gg grandfather. 

I am having difficulty in finding out what registry office holds there certificates?  I have applied to Durham and Sunderland for Williams (his son) birth cert born abt 1870 but to no avail, yet they show as all events BMD happening in and around Sunderland on all geneaology sites. Its driving me mad!  :-\

Have you obtained any certificates and if so what registry office were they at?
