Dear Lisa, Thank you very much for your help. Your information is a great help. While the ages are out by my reckoning  they are near enough . There were two Henry boys , one Daniel  born 1844 and the other George born 1842.  Sooo one of the henrys and poor Mary seem to have died. But William the husband was still alive.
Again thank you
Best wishes

Thanks Sandra, I tried the Cstlegarden site but no luck. I tried several other sites but apparently  "Ancestry" has taken them over.

William Barber was born 1814, his wife Maria 1818 Both from Loxley, Warwickshire.. Five young children.  I think" they" went to America between the 1841 and 51 census
Thank you for taking the time to help.

Re jemair and Sessions. These were the Kirk sessions when the minister and the church wardens called up misdoers, those who maybe, worked on Sunday, got drunk, had fights and had sex outside marriage, to name a few. The sessions for Moffat and some  other parishes are filmed and the films can be read at the Latter Day Saints churches. if you order them in. I have read the Moffat one but only took notice of anything that interested me  and am fairly sure that if an Orr was named I would have noticed but not if it was a Wyllie. I dont know if it would be worth your while looking. It was just a suggestion,  Good luck.

To jemair.I do not know why Mary Wyllie  put the Orr into her name. I  dont think she was related as the Orrs  were from Saltcoats and Mary was from Kilmarnock. William and Eliza  had a baby  called Mary in 1853 but she died when she was four.
If the Session minutes went to 1853 and your Mary was not married she would have been called up and the father may have been mentioned.
Mary Wylie isnt mentioned in William's will.
Steve, Are you related to the Orrs ?
