thank you Kloumann looks interesting, I will have to trawl marriages to see if this David Fleming is the correct one.
it is soul destroying trying to verify which records belong to which person when so many have the same name. but this is a possibility. very grateful.

yes this is him with his sisters family thank you. it is his birth in Ireland I would like and them hopefully confirm if he travelled to USA as I have DNA matches to flemming there but cant prove the connection. I know elizabeth ended up in Australia I have all her records during her lifetime thank you. cant find David after this census.

Donegal / baptism 1850 David Fleming Ireland

Hi all
I have posted about this family before namely David's sister Elizabeth Fleming. I have all details I need for Elizabeth and her families.
I am now revisiting as I am trying to trace David's descendants but am having difficulty in finding his baptism. My uncle in 1976 when starting the family tree had David as being born in 1850. Elizabeth was baptised in 1852 in Loughross Tullyaughnish Co.Donegal.  father John Fleming mother Margaret (Thompson). I cannot find David's baptism.
Online records have changed a lot since I originally found this a very very long time ago so would be grateful for any tips on where to look.
Thank you.

thank you for those replies the newspapers sound promising which date? I think there has been a misprint in what you have typed.
I am not sure that she was born in wales at all, only that people did not usually travel very far years ago. It is such an unusual name I am surprised there are no other records of it.
thanks again
