Hi there everyone,

I would be very grateful if someone could please look to see if there is a baptism record at either Gorefield or Leverington for Thomas Scrimshaw Godfrey born 1863.

I have a suspicion he is the illegitimate son of a Marshall Godfrey (yes, that's a female) but am curious if there are any clues as to the Scrimshaw middle name (he married someone whose mother was a Scrimshaw).

Oh that's great. I feel a bit silly - I've just come back to Thomas and looked at my notes that I couldn't find anything on him but maybe that record on Ancestry has become available since my last look. I really hate the FamilySearch site nowadays so don't bother with it too often!

Hi there lovely RootsChatters,

Was hoping for a quick baptism look up, if possible, please.

Thomas Scrimshaw Spikings born c. 1832/33 Tydd St Mary, Lincolnshire (from census and death records). He married a Scrimshaw so I'm trying to figure out how he (surely?) fits into the family. So his parents' names are primarily what I'm after, if able to be found  :)
