The town(Longridge) originally had no legal existence, it was a ‘courtesy name’ given two the two townships of Dilworth and Alston of which Longridge is comprised.

There was a Chapel of Ease in Dilworth for the parish church of St Wilfred Ribchester. St Lawrence Longridge (or Dilworth) was not made a parish church until 1868. I think this means the baptisms which took place at Dilworth were entered into the Bishop's transcripts under St Wilfreds registers.

St Mary's Oldham marriages on lan-opt only go up to April 1843  but Abram Jackson witnessed nearly every marriage in the previous 2 years in most cases with John Jackson so I would say definitely parish clerks

on the otherhand a probate record (with administration to Edith Owens - widow) says he died 20th June 1933 so maybe that tree not to be totally relied on

just been having a look at that probate record again. There were 2 John Owens who died in Liverpool in 1933. The one who died 20th June was of Boaler Street and would presumably the one registered in the June qtr 1933 aged 39. The on registered Sept qtr which would fit with the August date of death was aged 49 so it is possible that both had a wife of edith and the probate record does not belong to your john

I am not 100% sure - but 126 Smithdown Road maybe  Sefton General Hospital - and 84 Mill Lane ,Old Swan may also be a Hospital - now known as Rathbone Hospital
https://old-swan.cylex-uk.co.uk/company/rathbone-hospital-16389133.html

126 Smithdown Road was definitely Sefton General but know in the 1930's as Smithsdown Road Infirmary
(source ancestry message boards with messages from people who were born there in later years)

on Google street maps 84 Mill Lane seems to be Ale House Halton Castle and a newsagents which look as though they have been there forever! So probably not the hospital

also a tree on ancestry says Vera was born at 84 Mill Lane on 10th August 1930
