Hi,yes i believe that is right that She was possible born in Sudbury England as that's the place her mother married Peter Drake in Sudbury England during the war.
Eileen, yes thank you about the 1972 record, are you able to Private message myself with any information for this please, that would be great.
Yes from what family say that yes that her mother was Wilhelmina Stege, from what we have looked at there are a couple of Veronica Drakes born about that time and one has her born under mothers name of Stege but in the northumberland area of England, A town called Tynemouth.
Veronicas father Peter F drake is thought to have been in the air force and worked for both england and canada for many years.
How do we know that she died in the past, the thing family knows is that no one knows what ever became of her, did she stay in Canada or perhaps return to the UK, I think it most probable that yes she passed some years ago, sh would have to be about 79 or 80 now, which is not a family trait really, sad but true, my own mother having passed just 11 years ago.
Is there any info that names her mother to be seen, I have had a look at Lynn Lake on maps, interesting place, doing some home work on the area now.
